THE LAZY DAYS OF (ALMOST) SUMMER

Ruger

 The last time Matt came to visit, he brought this guy with him.

  His name is Ruger.  Somebody I know was quite happy with Matts decision to bring him along.

 

I think this is where she was a little shocked that the ball deflated!  

 She loved playing with Ruger.  Cant you tell?

 They played tug of war.

 He looks pretty vicious here but he was actually very gentle. He seemed to enjoy their game of tug of war as much as she did.

 They had some nice conversation too.  I have no idea what all she was telling him.

 She made sure he got enough to eat and drink while he was here.

Matt can bring back Ruger any time he wants to.

Barber?

Josh decided to give Adam a haircut! College kids gotta save a buck every chance they get.

My grandpa who came here from Italy was a barber by trade, so maybe Josh just has it in his blood.

I say Adam is a little brave though. Josh has actually cut Adams hair before. It didnt turn out quite so good that time. Too bad I dont have that picture!

There was so much hair we decided we should go with the scissors first before the clippers. So I helped out a bit. Avery was questioning us on the whole thing. Maybe she was hoping she wasnt next! :)

Not too shabby.

Worth The Risk

This is the face you get when a little girl gets on the trampoline and then realizes when she is done that if you touch her to help her get down she might get shocked.

She doesnt like to get shocked.

She didnt know what was worse, getting shocked or being stuck for the rest of her life on the trampoline.
Sometimes you just gotta take the risk to move on.

What We Do

Who can guess what the guys do while we wait for the Crawfish to boil?

Of course! They throw the football, what else?

What do I do?

Take pictures of course. Ha, you didnt really know that did you?

This is what happens when he is wearing those glasses and Jake throws the football right at his head when he isnt looking. :( P.S. glasses are broke! :( Guess he will have to get a new look.

There was also a lot of jumping going on.I really enjoy great weekends like that one. I am so blessed with such a great family and a whole host of friends who we feel are almost like family too. I thank God for our blessings every day!

Out In The Sun

We had fun out in the sun!

We colored eggs.

Some of us got our hands all messy.
Avery painted on glitter! Little girls love sparkles.
When one egg was cracked and peeled Avery was going to hold it. But when she felt it she said "Eww". Then she decided to only hold it with a napkin under it. It was "grossy". :)

Mark gave Avery a treat basket, cause Uncles are good like that.
The whole family enjoyed the sunshine.
Some day way too soon, it will be much too uncomfortable to sit out back in the HEAT. But for last weekend we had fun out in the sun.
