FAMILY & LAUGHS

This is my family.
My sister, brother, and mom.
There was another brother who only lived a few hours; and we lost daddy in October of '97.
Both sets of grandparents are gone. As a matter of fact I only knew the one grandparent, Ma. The others were all gone before I was born.
We are a small family, but here we are.

It was very nice to get together with all of them recently. We enjoyed each others company. There was some very interesting conversation, much of which was about politics. This is definitely the side of the family where Casey gets her passion for politics.
We also did a good bit of eating! We went to this pretty well known place.
If you like Italian at all you should try this place when in Memphis. It was very nice. Full of all sorts of antique interesting things. Lots of the tables were actually antique things. Like this bed. There were actually several antique bed frames used as tables. And this old rail car
There were other tables inside old phone booths, and tickets booths... It was really neat. We had a good time there together with my mom and brother. This is Johnny getting inside this old safe.

This is an old barbers chair. My grandpa (Daddys Dad) was a barber (Joe Stella) who came to the US with his wife Eva from Italy! Todd made me laugh when he first sat in this chair and it went back on him. It was pretty funny.

Todd said something there that made me laugh. I am sure it was about that statue.
This is me inside the old confessional. (Is that what you call it? I think so.) Johnny was listening to my confession.
And this is when Todd made me laugh again!
We left the restaurant full and decided to walk downtown a while.
Johnny got me this souvenir penny. You know the kind that rolls out flat! :)

We went in this gift shop and Todd made me laugh AGAIN. ELVIS GLASSES! Do you see those side burns? hehehe
We had fun in that gift shop too. We tried on glasses
And hatsWe really had a good evening together. Todd stayed up so late! I was so proud.
It was a good time all together with my Mom, my brother, my sister, her husband, and mine.

GOOD TIMES

Looks like fun! Sure beats my Memphis "vacation" where we spent the whole week in the hospital. ha I want to eat at the Italian place now!
Isn't it weird that you're only a second generation American on your dad's side?! I am a fourth generation American on Mimi's side, but Nan was part Cherokee... so that means part of me has been an American since pre-America. ;)
